Easy Rewards – Get More Than Before!

This is a friendly reminder regarding upcoming changes to the Easy Rewards program.  On April 19th Easy Rewards will announce to our members more reward options and increased award amounts for room vouchers.  Currently members can redeem 10 points for a $50 room voucher but starting April 19th we’re going to sweeten the deal.  10 points will now earn Easy Rewards members a $75 room voucher to use toward their stays.  For our high point balance members we will also offer a $175 room voucher for 20 points.  Plus, members can earn points on redemption stays!

NEW Easy Rewards Member Award:

  • 10 points = $75 room voucher or $40 cash
  • 20 points = $175 room voucher or $80 cash

Why is Easy Rewards increasing the award amounts for room vouchers only? 
One of the keys to a successful rewards program is to keep members engaged and give them an incentive to redeem their points for awards.  If they aren’t redeeming, they’re not finding value in the points they earn.  Last fall we conducted a test campaign with the Fall Redemption Sale.  We found by increasing the room voucher amounts, members redeemed at a higher rate than in previous months.  Increasing the voucher amounts also means that money will flow back to your hotel when the vouchers are redeemed.

What does my hotel need to do?
With these changes, we will need to update all the Easy Rewards marketing collateral in your hotels.  You will receive via U.S. Mail, new Easy Rewards stanchion inserts, rack cards and in room guest directory replacement pages.  Please follow the instructions included in the mailing and ensure all the new collateral materials are displayed in the Easy Rewards stanchion on April 19th.  There’s no change in the procedures to redeem room vouchers simply be aware of the dollar amount on the voucher.

Special Request:  Please make sure to remove the Double Points Promotion stanchion insert and replace with the “New” standard Easy Rewards insert on April 19, 2012.

Easy Rewards Enrollment Contest: 
Hotel Enrollments are trailing behind but there’s still time to win that Enrollment Credit for May!!
The Easy Rewards Enrollment Contest is in full swing and the hotels have some work to do!  Now’s the time to pull out all the stops and get those enrollments so your property can enjoy an enrollment credit for the month of May!  If hotel enrollments beat AmericInn.com + AmericInn Central Reservations System in both March and April, all properties will receive an enrollment credit for the month of May.  That means hotels will not be charged for the first stay of new members enrolled through OPERA in the month of May 2012.*Enrollment Credit will be applied for the first stay of the newly enrolled member; this can not be a duplicate enrollment.
